I’m now doing promotional stuff in case you’re interested.
Yeah, sounds pretty blunt, I know. But this was deliberately. First things first. When we started off with Cultkill Music it was quite clear right from he beginning that promotional tasks will be on my side. Obviously, this stemmed from the fact that after having done Transcended Music Blog for years now, I’ve seen countless press kits and had at least some kind of an idea what this might need to look like. In first instances, we started promoting the music in the name of the label. However, after a few weeks went by and we started discussing DIY label structures (especially for our podcast), the idea came up that the structures that are generated for promotional purposes at Cultkill Music might be a benefit not only for us.
This is why we decided to go for a separated DIY promotional page. By doing so, we added the possibility to have friends or close bands benefit from the structures that we worked on as well.
Hence, with the amazing logo that came from Hagiophobic, I started Gutter Rat Promotion. So far, it was still quite calm. I had the opportunity to help here and there with the release of Haexler’s amazing Talkshow, releases by Lower Class Kids Records and of course also the releases of our own (Cultkill Music). However, the foundation we’ve set is now especially underlining the possibility to help with releases apart from the label as well. This is DIY – which means – I am by no means interested in any form of payment. This leads back to the style of articulation in the beginning. Of course, also do keep in mind that this is DIY promotion. I am quite probably not capable of competing with actual PR agencies. Nevertheless, when the option is not promoting your music (punk – metal and in between) at all and you might be interested – feel free to hit me up!
